Visual Effects Society Webinar: Neurodiversity in the Workplace

What are we building around people that makes doing their best work easier, or harder?

That question was at the centre of a recent conversation between Lauren DeVillier, CEO of Exceptional Minds, and Philipp Wolf, CEO of swyvl, hosted by the Visual Effects Society and facilitated by Laurence Cymet.

The discussion explored what it means to move beyond neurodiversity awareness and look more closely at the environments we create around people. From workplace systems and policies to language, leadership, and everyday practices, these conditions can either introduce barriers or enable people to contribute at their best.

A central theme was that performance is contextual. The same person can thrive in one environment and struggle in another, not because their capability has changed, but because the conditions around them have.

The conversation also looks at moving beyond individual accommodation toward designing workplaces that better account for human variation from the outset.

If you work in leadership, people and culture, production, or are simply interested in thinking differently about neurodiversity at work, the full conversation is now available to watch.
